Living History is making history come to life, and there are groups around the country that weekend in and weekend out (and some days in between) will set up a living history encampment, although at the moment my pages are focused generally upon the Migration, Saxon/Viking age, many of the items are transferable to other periods such as Roman and Crusade and earlier/later.

We hope this section can provide you with items to enhance your display, and if you're not a re-enactor, then also to enhance your home.

This piece of Ash that is sized 50mm x 32mm x 1630 (generally + 2mm) planed all round (PAR) and ready for YOU to work/shape into a Dane axe Handle.

Suitable for the Petersen Dane AXE Head (Made by Jackhammer forge) therefore sitting comfortably under the chin, of most Huscarls. Please measure the aperture on your Dane axe head to ensure that this size will fit.

This shaft needs working into shape and then fitting to the head. Suitable for Viking Saxon Re-enactment, and probably suitable for handles for other re-enactment pieces.
