Identified as a Ryeland type Small rare breed sheepskin.


This breed is similar to the White face breeds the Romans brought in during the invasion of England therefore is a potential addition to the living history encampment from Roman period throughout, and Developed into what we know now as the Ryeland by the monks of Leominster.

Therefore suitable for use within any Roman, Viking or Saxon and any subsequent periods to modern day re-enactment living history encampment or the home.
